F.R.P.® ( Flexible and Robust Polymer ) F.R.P. is a polymer created for sport wear thanks to its low density (1,05 g/cm cube ) which enables to reduce the weight of each lens of about 15% with respect to a polycarbonate lens. Stress cracking never occurs. (Stress cracking is caused by a permanent or prolonged internal tension which outstretches the elastic limit of the materials causing micro-cracks, dullness in colour, lessening the mechanical properties and its resistance to impacts.) Our F.R.P.® lenses undergo a special surface treatment which guarantees a anti-scratch lens.
